«Real World CFTR Modulation: Opportunities, consequences and challenges»
We are pleased to welcome healthcare professionals working in the field of Cystic Fibrosis to participate in our Chiesi CF Academy webinar with the title “Real World CFTR Modulation: Opportunities, consequences and challenges”, with the aim of sharing best practice and experience to all CF-centres in the Nordics.
In this session Professor Barry Plant will examine current clinical trial and real-world data exploring outcomes post modulation in CF with a focus on ETI. He will discuss the many pulmonary and extra pulmonary opportunities and in addition consequences (both positive and negative). He will also explore the data available around long-term function improvement post CFTR modulation, how long does it last for and the role on inhaled antibiotics in this new era of CF care.

Professor Barry Plant MD, FRCPI, MFSEM is a Consultant Respiratory Physician, Clinical Director for Medicine and the Director of the Adult CF Centre at Cork University Hospital (CUH)-University College Cork, an executive member of the CF Registry of Ireland, and a former executive board member of ECFS.
